01 / The project
What could've been. We almost made it the front door.
This one was for ourselves. We wanted a homepage that did something different: not a hero and a grid, but a single, cinematic idea. You fly the plane by scrolling. The scroll drives the motion; the motion reveals the text. It felt so right that we seriously considered shipping it as the real fiveroses.com.au homepage. In the end we went another way, but the build was too good to put aside and forget. So we kept it. Here it is.

Cinematic scroll
02 / The experience
Scroll to fly. Motion reveals the story.
The experience is simple to describe and hard to forget. You scroll. The plane moves. Copy appears in rhythm with the motion. There is no separate “content block” or “scroll section.” The journey and the message are the same thing. We did not want to hide it in a folder. It belongs out in the open as a reminder of what we like to make when we get to choose: bold, cinematic, and a little bit show-off. In the best way.
